I’m off to Oslo to speak at Photocamp tomorrow so I’m wishing you a great weekend today already. We’re in the middle of November and Stockholm is so darn grey. I’m a sucker for color so I totally enjoyed this shoot. A large floral arrangement hanging from the ceiling is a great way to frame your table and a great conversations starter for wedding guests. Right?? Who hung that up there and how did they do it? Well my friend and floral designer wiz Linnea did, for all the vendor links check below. Antique candlesticks adds warmth and looks like jewellery and is a lovely contrast to any barn’s rustic walls. Since barn weddings are typically associated with a simple and more “rustic” style we created this to breath new life into an old idea. Personally I love plum and blush for an October wedding, lush and abundant, like comfort food.

With much fun, love and laughter our lovely clients, Matilda and Svend celebrated their elegant destination wedding in Sweden at Bjertorp Manor House. Splendidly enough, this wedding was published on the front page of Style Me Pretty. We’re proud and truly delighted for the feature on one of the best wedding blogs in the world. Hope you love looking through the photos, enjoy!
We’ve always dreamed of shooting a Bjertorp Manor House wedding. Known for being Sweden’s best preserved Art Nouveau manors and gardens. Bjertorp Manor House is situated charmingly in the golden fields on the west coast of Sweden. It’s perfect for a destination wedding in Sweden and for the bride and groom that are looking to get a tailored wedding experience. They won’t be disappointed. We loved shooting here. The food is top notch, as well as the service.
Our fabulous bride and groom decided on a destination wedding in Sweden. Since it only takes about 3 hrs from Oslo to the venue, the choice was easy. They fell in love with it and decided to stretch the wedding day to a weekend, to really spend quality time together with their family and friends.
We first met this stunning couple in Kongsvinger, Norway last year and shot their engagement photos, you can check out the session here. We had an excellent time with them and we loved how easy going they where and they pretty much laughed and had fun with us during the entire session. Thanks for laughing at my bad jokes you guys!
Anyways, when it was time for their wedding day we were so pleased to revel in marvelous weather and sublime golden light. The weather this summer has been less that great so we were thrilled to finally enjoy a warm and sunny day. We had a splendid sunset session with them just before the sun was setting, at around 9 in the evening. Best light of the day is during golden hour and in Sweden, during June, it’s that late. But boy was it worth it!
The couple pretty much planned their destination wedding by them selves with a little help from family members and of course the staff at their venue. Perhaps my favourite memory of the day was when the bride had the the veil put on, an heirloom veil worn by many women in her family before her. The veil was made from the most delicate silk lace and several meters long. Just dazzling!
We also nee to mention the dinner. Instead of just eating and perhaps listening to a few speeches, the party started early. With guest singing and literally dancing on the tables and chairs there wasn’t a quiet moment the entire evening. It was a blast being a part of this astounding occasion and to photograph this incredibly elegant destination wedding Sweden!
