Have been waiting to share this elegant white and green garden wedding at Norrviken quite a while. Danielle & Gus’s wedding took place during one of the rainiest days of 2017, but that wouldn’t stop their joy to shine through. As a wedding photographer, I have to expect the unexpected. Handle every type of weather and just make it work. Often under time pressure and dealing with nerves, stress, and whatnot. It’s part of the job. And I like it!
I didn’t plan to shoot in the woods for example. But we had to run for shelter when another downpour came, and I’m talking buckets of water, not a little drizzle. Unplanned, wet and with a fogged up old camera I shot this wedding. And I loved every minute of it! Sometimes the unexpected turns out to be the creations you love the most.
The floral designer Anna Gouteva decorated the ceremony area in the garden so pretty and the tale arrangements inside Norrviken was perfectly in tune with the rest of the day. White and green with an elegant feel to it. All the guests were ooh-ing and ah-ing when they stepped inside the Norrviken wedding reception area, which is basically a greenhouse. A wedding photographers dream to shoot in!
Later in the evening, we got lucky as the sun decided to come out. I took the bride and groom out for a few sunset photos and those are often my client’s favorites. The light about an hour before sunset is the softest you can imagine. It wraps around my couple like cotton candy. Allowing time for having a few portraits taken during the Golden hour is the best decision you can do. Trust me, you don’t want to be without!
