Sara and David’s romantic Visingsborg castle wedding took place on the small island of Visingsö, Sweden. These highschool sweethearts where destined for each other and their day was filled with so much love. Sara got ready at her family’s summer cottage and David next door. As she was doing her makeup she sat down and wrote a letter to her future husband and sent over the letter with a gift. Such a lovely thing to incorporate in your wedding day. Don’t forget to read the brides own words below to find out more how they planned their day and some advice. Thank you Sara, David and your loving family, I truly enjoyed spending the day with you / Isabelle

How did you two meet?
We met already in high school through mutual friends, and became a couple when we were 16 years old. Since then we have been accompanied by education and qualification, has been separated for travel and study abroad, living in different cities, moved in together and supported each other through life’s ups and downs.
How did the proposal go down?
During a trip to London in December 2014, David went down on one knee and proposed. He had arranged with a private balcony at the Hilton Park Lane Hotel and we engaged ourselves with the whole city lights in the periphery. It was amazing!
Why did you choose Visingsborg Castle?
In June this year we celebrated ten years together, and we could not think of a better way to celebrate it than to get married. We said yes to each other in Visingsborg castle ruins, surrounded by friends and family, on beautiful Visingsö where I have spent all my summers since I was little. It is my place on earth, and where we share many wonderful summer memories. The week leading up to the wedding predicted all weather channels large amounts of rain, and we were torn between hope and despair. During priest vigseltal fell a few drops of rain and it felt like the whole congregation held their breath. But few drops was all that came and they tell you it will mean lucky.
