BOHEMIA COLLECTIVE GATHERING AT AUX JARDINES DES THEVENETS

A few months ago me, Isabelle, and my dear friend and fellow film shooter Siegrid from Siegrid Cain Photography, decided to put a plan in motion that had been brewing for a while. The Bohemia Collective Gathering , a journey for the like-minded woman seeking more, more learning, more sharing, more soul. So when we found Aux Jardines Des Theventets, a beautiful and charming B&B outside Vichy, France everything fell into place and the very first Bohemia Gathering was born.

Originally 10 creative and unique women were accepted to the first gathering, unfortunately, one of them couldn’t make it, but 9 came. By plane, car, and trains they all arrived at the picturesque French farmhouse and we greeted them with curiosity and rose wine.

The days at the gathering was intense. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know all of them. To share, learn, cry and laugh together. And hopefully, all of us went back a little stronger, wiser and filled with new ideas and inspiration and with an even stronger passion for film photography. It’s hard to say exactly what Bohemia Gatherings are all about. But to put in into a few words, for me it’s about seeking inspiration outside of my general area, to think in new ways. To share knowledge, whether it’s techy stuff like metering, different film stocks or film cameras and sharing my passion and the road that led me to it. It’s about looking inside and to start pulling that tiny thread that lingered deep down. It’s about using your own and rare vision and getting rid of all the Pinterest sameness.

It’s not for everyone, it’s for women who want more. More down to earth, more sharing, more creativity, more grounding. A never seen before experience for female film photographers and creative collaborators who simply long for more creativity, more grounding, more keeping it real, more love, more gut feeling… MORE of being and living you.
