Here in Scandinavia, winter is around the corner. So today seems like it’s the perfect time to show you a sparkling wintertime wedding. This wedding overlooking the ski slopes in Norway won our hearts. We’re so happy to finally find time to blog it and there are many more weddings in the pipeline. From outdoor winter wedding in Sweden to Italian al fresco style weddings and a destination wedding in Spain (that took place at an old casino!!) So a fair amount of incredible nuptials we’ve been fortunate to photograph during this year. But first, read more about Cai and Ole’s snowy bash below!
Cai and Olé’s wedding was an intimate celebration and the very first time Cai‘s family from the Philippines visited this part of the world. Norway did not disappoint. It snowed the night before, and the ski slopes looked powdery as we drove up the mountain to Luseby Hotel. The hotel is beautifully situated near the famous Holmenkollen, about 30 minutes outside of Oslo. It resembles a Norwegian folktale royal palace from an early time. This very day it was a rather big skiing contest that took place and large crowds gathered to enjoy the festivities and to cheer for their favorite contestants. They also cheered for the newlyweds when they excited Holmenkollen‘s chapel at the foot of the mountain.
Everything from the blush bridesmaids dresses to the matching soft pink invites and the gorgeous florals perfectly framed Cai and Olé’s wedding day. Florals were created by Finn Scholl and Eucalyptus Blomster. We had such a great time in Norway and can highly recommend a visit during winter. That is to if you love snow and if you’re looking for a breathtaking but cold experience. Considering a winter wedding? Go for it! It can be fairytale-like and as long as you prepare your guests we’re positive they will love it too!
