A Beautiful Greek island destination wedding in Paros.

Once this bride and groom decided on a Greek island destination wedding, they knew that they wanted to find a group of villas for families and closest friends to stay together. Katina and Arthur were introduced to Aelia Hospitality Villas in Paros, and they discovered it to be so beautiful that they decided to rent them all for the entire weekend. Rather than having the dinner at a restaurant they transformed the outdoor space into a reception venue! Just the type of destination wedding they had imagined.

A quaint little chapel in Marpissa

Katina and Arthur met in graduate school and knew that they wanted to get married in a Greek Orthodox Church. They both love the quaint little chapels that are so characteristic of the Greek Islands. The wedding planner sent over photos of a church in the small idyllic village of Marpissa. Katina and Arthur immediately understood it was the one! Besides the village and church being pretty, it was also at a comfortable distance. Therefore limiting transportation during the wedding day.

Greek Orthodox ceremony

The Orthodox ceremony is such a beautiful and symbolic tradition. Katina & Arthur were excited to be able to say I do together with their closest people in Greece. Most importantly Katina and Arthur wanted to celebrate their love, besides making sure everyone had the best of time.

After the ceremony in Marpissa, everyone hopped on a bus back to Aelia Villas.  The couple cut the cake (delicious by the way) and embraced in a romantic first dance. More traditional Greek dancing followed and let me tell you. Greek weddings are FUN to shoot.
