FAMILY PHOTOS

I had a splendid time when I photographed the Björk family this fall and have such a crush on this little fellow, isn’t he adorable? I really enjoy photographing babies and families, it is after all the most important thing in my life. So, I’d like to celebrate family life and wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year. We will be back with a our favorite wedding moments and photos of 2013 soon.

CHRISTMAS FAMILY PHOTOS

I always start booking my Christmas family photo sessions in September. I know, It seems way ahead of schedule, but it’s actually the perfect time to start. There are a few things you need to have in mind when booking a shoot for your Christmas family photos. First, and this is very important, you have to think about how long it will take to get your images edited and available for you to see. Since I shoot film (as in analog) I need to send the rolls to my lab to get them developed and scanned before I can start editing them. That alone is a minimum of 15-20 days. Secondly, life gets in the way and sometimes you need to reschedule your session. You know how the autumn is, someone catches a cold, pink eye and let’s not even talk about the weather. A lot of things that are beyond our control, but they do happen. So that’s why it’s so great to schedule your Christmas family photos as early as September.

As a natural light photographer, considering the ideal time of the day is very important, so early in the morning or late in the afternoon is the best time in my opinion. Best times obviously change with seasons but plenty of good light is needed. The session is usually 1-2 hours, anything longer is too tiring, especially if there is a baby in the family.

Find a photographer that fits you, who creates photos you love. Not all photographers are the same so ask your friend for a recommendation and look at blogs. Price is

of course

a factor, but please don’t let it be the deciding factor. You get what you pay for. If you want to book a family photos session with me I’d be
