Looking off over the gorgeous waters of the Amalfi Coast as the sun sank towards the glistening skyline, Sara & Austin were married. Hand-in-hand they took in the beauty of the moments unfolding before them. Six years of dating and engagement all lead up to this one sweet moment… they were finally husband and wife.
Hotel Marincanto in Amalfi – Wedding Day
The wedding day of Sara and Austin at Hotel Marincanto was simply breathtaking. Their vision was to find a location that embodied romance, adventure, and beauty, and they found exactly what they were looking for on the Amalfi coast in Italy. 21 of their closest loved ones traveled from all over to share in their special day.
The stunning views from the Hotel Marincanto were awe-inspiring. The red terrace where they had their ceremony provided glorious views of the ocean and the city, as well as the hillside and cliffs of Positano. It’s no wonder that so many couples choose Hotel Marincanto for their destination wedding in Amalfi. The views from the bridal suite terrace, where they had both dinner and reception, were equally breathtaking.
Golden Hour Themed Wedding
The bride’s inspiration for the wedding was the theme of “Golden Hour”, a perfect fit for an Amalfi wedding. The color palette included golden pinks, corals, warm mauves, gold tones, and ivory. These colors created evening vibes that were beautifully reflected in all the floral arrangements and the wedding tablescape design. Even the exterior of the Hotel Marincanto matched the color tones perfectly! Sara and Austin’s wedding felt warm, intimate, and full of joy. There is something truly special about celebrating with just 21 people. Sara expressed how beautiful it was to be surrounded by the people she loves the most in the world and by new friends who worked seamlessly together to create a breathtaking and unique day that they could never have imagined. Austin and Sara had to stop themselves multiple times during the day to take it all in and say, “Can you believe this is real? This is us, this is our story. Amalfi and this very spot will always be our place.”
Amalfi Coast
They had come all the way from Texas in the United States to be in Italy. I can attest to the fact that the Amalfi Coast didn’t disappoint them! The glistening waters, gorgeous landscape, and views showed off a little extra the day of their wedding. It was the perfect setting to highlight their love story.
Sara is kind-hearted, passionate and gentle. Austin is generous, loving, loyal and adventurous. Together, they make a compelling, kind and well-balanced team. People talk about how someone else can bring out the best in them. Both Sara and Austin do this for the other. They are two of the kindest, most incredible humans you could ever meet!
First Look
From the beginning of their day, it was clear how excited Sara and Austin was for their marriage. The most significant example of this emotion was their first look at the terrace at Hotel Marincanto. Those moments between them when Austin first saw her as a bride were so charged with emotion. The view overlooking Amalfi was breathtaking, but he was only focusing on her. She looked radiant and more beautiful than any Italian sunset or landscape to him. A tearful moment together with so much joy! It was raw, it was real, and it was beautiful beyond measure.
The Wedding Ceremony at The Red Teracce, Hotel Marincanto
Sara and Austin spent quite a lot of time writing the vows for the ceremony. They got inspiration from religious texts, universal literature, and poetry. They also included bits and pieces from their heritages. Sara’s brother held and handed the rings, and her sister kept the vow books. Incorporating siblings and closest friends in the wedding ceremony.
Though, their whole day was saturated with joy. The love they shared shined through every moment! They clung to one another. Their families surrounding them and supported them as they committed to each other. You could see it on their faces how surreal it all felt. It was more than they could have imagined for their wedding day!
It was such an honor and privilege to capture such a special occasion in their lives! Traveling to Amalfi for their wedding day was more beautiful than I could ever describe, and I am so thankful I was a part of it! I hope that the adventures never stop for Sara and Austin. That they live life together full of as much joy as their wedding day held.
