Positano Wedding Photography
I’m a wedding photographer, and I photograph weddings in so many areas around Italy. I especially love photographing weddings in Positano, and I enjoy going back every time! Although you might think you need to bring your own photographer to Positano because of the language thing. I can promise you you do not need to do that. I’m fluent in English, so there are no language barriers, as it often can be with local Italian photographers. Not only that, I am only a short distance away and probably for a better price than if you were to bring a photographer from the US. So if you like my work and would consider me as your photographer, then let’s make it happen!
As a wedding photographer in Positano who’s frequently working here, I know all the little secret spots and where to find the best light. Over the year of photographing big and small celebrations, I’ve gathered a vast network of wedding professionals that I share with my couples. All to make your wedding photography experience in Positano the best you can imagine.

I often travel to Positano as a wedding photographer. I took Megan and Chuck out and about for the portrait session, and I have words to describe this fun and stunning couple. You want to be friends with them right from the start! I am fortunate to have photographed their engagement session and wedding in Positano. You can see the full post from another Positano wedding by checking the link at the end of this post.

Amalfi Tips
Final tips and thoughts. For traveling to Positano, it is easiest to fly to Naples International Airport. From there, you have a couple of options to get to Positano. You can hire a private driver. Which is, in my opinion, the best way to arrive in Positano. You can enjoy the scenery on the way in and the breathtaking landscape without focusing on the road. The traffic can be hectic, and the streets are narrow. Unless you are a skilled driver, don’t get behind the wheel in that area.
Furthermore, it is a hassle to find parking in Positano. If you manage to find a spot, it will cost you a fortune. Almost no hotels offer free parking, but you can get parking for an astronomical fee. Better spend that money on good food and shopping!
For more real weddings I shot as a wedding photographer in Positano I suggest you check out these celebrations!
Here are some more useful links that I think you might like if you are coming to this part of Italy. Hire a Fiat 500 or a private driver? It is a beautiful drive from Naples to Amalfi, but it can also be tricky, as mentioned previously. The narrow roads are breathtaking, but when you meet a bus in a bend, you might wish you hired a driver instead.
Places To Stay
There are a gazillion amazing hotels, but let me point out a few favorite spots! The Marincanto Hotel, where these weddings are photographed, is merely fabulous. Not only is the food top food, but their terraces have the best view over Positano. They are hands down unique. And who wouldn’t want that view for breakfast? Also, their staff and service are impeccable and accommodation affordable for being in Positano. As a Positano wedding photographer, I love working at this place and not to mention eating the delicious food!
Shopping In Positano
Don’t bring your bathing suit or bikini! I mean it! There are so many delightful small shops in the streets of Positano, and you will likely want to shop a ton. You’ll find gorgeous swimwear, stunning vacation dresses and to top it off beautiful shoes. So just in case, save some space in your suitcase or buy an extra bag! You’ll probably fly back with some lemon-decorated items also since lemons are everywhere in Positano. Lemons grow in the backyards of the hotels and they serve up the most refreshing lemon-drinks as well as limoncello!
Boat Rides From Positano
As a Positano wedding photographer, I love when my couple wants to go on a boat ride. It’s nothing better than to see Positano from the sea. It’s hard to appreciate the beauty of the town when you are walking around in it but from the water, you really get a bigger picture, literally! You can rent a smaller private boat or you can go on a boat excursion to Capri or to Sorrento. Ther are so many fantastic ways to enjoy the Mediterranean Sea and I highly recommend you take at least one boat ride while in Amalfi.
Those are my friendly tips to you from an experienced Positano wedding photographer, I hope you’ll find it helpful!
