Elin & Brian’s outdoors countryside wedding at Mårten Pärs Bo was an emotional three-day celebration. I’m incredibly grateful that I got to document it. Confident you’ll find tons of wedding inspiration in this post. But first things first! I have to tell you about this couple.
Their Love Story
You won’t believe their love story, but it is true. Elin and Brian met on an airplane! This groom works as a pilot and the bride as a flight attendant. So love at first sight in the air! Isn’t that a great start or what?
They soon moved in together in a fixer-upper in Copenhagen, Denmark. This bride never thought of or dreamed of a big wedding. But when her fiancé dropped down on one knee on the top of Kebnekaise mountain last year, she said YES! And I mean who wouldn’t right? When they by chance when out driving, found the perfect place to have their wedding, they booked it the same evening.
Mårten Pers Bo
Mårten Pers Bo is situated in Brantevik on Österlen in Skåne. A renovated old farmstead turned into a minimalistic yet beautiful boutique hotel and wedding venue. Elin & Brian’s ceremony was held outdoors in a forest grove where the trees were covered with ivy. Just a few minutes walk from Mårten Pers Bo you can go swimming in the ocean. Making this wedding venue the perfect place for any couple wanting their guest to experience the beautiful Östelen and Skåne. But it didn’t stop there. I was crying like a baby when the bride’s mother, minister Caroline Wiens performed the ceremony. So incredibly heartfelt and emotional.
Designing the wedding invitations
This couple is also very aesthetic and creative. The bride created the invites in white, sage and dusty blue along with the decor. Perfectly matching the colors of the landscape and their wedding venue. Raw, emotional and artistic sums up this celebration. Appropriately they ended the evening with the groom Brain’s favorite dessert, Danish Strawberry Cake brought in from Copenhagen, his hometown.
The dream wedding
Their dream was to have a weekend celebration so that Elin and Brian really could enjoy the company of those near and dear. Friday afternoon everyone met up at Mårten Pers Bo for cocktails and barbecue. The bride and groom opted not to have a first look, and it was Brian’s wish that Elin’s father would give her away. When Elin came walking down the aisle, no one could hold it together any longer. It as just a very touching moment and like everything else with this couple, one hundred percent real, raw and honest. Thank you, Elin and Brian, for having 2 Brides photographing your wedding. It’s a once in a lifetime celebration we’ll never forget!
